A key design consideration for the project was durability— especially underfoot. The design team turned to MIRA Floors & Interiors to source a waterproof, tenant-friendly option that would feel right at home in this modern heritage rebuild. The choice: Coretec Galaxy luxury vinyl plank in Cartwheel Oak, a soft, neutral wood tone that lends warmth and texture throughout. Stair nosings were custom-made from the same material, creating a continuous, seamless look across all levels. In the bathrooms, Beaulieu waterproof vinyl tile was selected for its durability and comfort, offering a softer, warmer alternative to traditional porcelain.
Structural and systems upgrades ensure the home meets modern code without compromising style. Noncombustible steel-stud framing, fire shutters, sprinklers, and upgraded storm and sewer lines bring peace of mind, while cutting-edge 3D visualization tools helped guide the build to completion.
The result is a graceful blend of past and present— a heritage home reimagined for today’ s city living.
