Annika is Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at All3Media, and has worked at the company for three and a half months.
To her, Black History Month can be summarised with the word ‘legacy’, and when asked what BHM means to her and why it’s important to celebrate it, she stated, “BHM is about taking inspiration from the past and using that as motivation to shape a better future for the generations after me. This month is a time to feel empowered by our collective contributions and appreciate how Black culture has contributed to and shapes the global cultural agenda. This month is a reminder that representation matters and that creating equality of opportunity is essential.”
