The Shoot

Inspiration Behind

Now you can’t go about creating and producing a successful photo-shoot without thoroughly thinking about your theme and ideas. Most stylists and photographers like to create a mood board to help them bring all their ideas together.

There is a long list of things that have to be thought about before shooting a shoot. Lighting, model choice, location, clothing, hair, make up and so much more need to be chosen.

I decided to create a Pintrest board to hold all my photo shoot ideas; this would keep all my thoughts in one place. It is easy to add pictures and delete images to get the perfect mood board.

I wanted my shoot to be outside as we are nearing into Spring and Summer, there are also some perfect locations in London which can make the shoot interesting and exciting.

In order to keep my wardrobe simplistic I wanted to go for a monochromatic theme and stick to two or three outfits. Stephanie has a rectangular shaped body so I needed to bear this in mind and find garments that would give her a more ‘womanly’ figure. For example I used the coat that buttons at the waist to make it appear smaller and therefore give her more of an hourglass figure.
