Clean Water.

70% of Earth is water. That sentence makes everyone think that there is enough water for every single person in the world. But how about this sentence. Only 2.5% is clean and only 1% of that 2.5% is accessible. Does that still make you think there's enough? If yes did you consider the fact that clean water is not only used for drinking but for cooking, washing, taking showers or baths, water parks, pools, etc? If you're wondering where the other percentage of clean water is the answer is, it's trapped in glaciers and snowfields.

Some places have a much harder time with accessing clean water than others due to geography, climate, droughts, pollution, etc. And while we are aware of this problem we waste water without being aware of it. For example, while you brush your teeth you keep the tap on or when you wash your dishes, when you shower and you don't need the water and just keep it on. Those are just some of the ways we waste water. Sometimes we damage clean water without even knowing. Like when factories dump their junk in water that eventually affects clean water.

It seems like we do more things that damages our water and decreases it.So what are we doing to solve this crisis? People all over the world has been trying and trying to solve this horrific problem but how can you give enough water to over 7 billion people? No one has a permanent solution but groups of people are trying to help people all over the world to get a permanent resource of water.

Nico Millar, Angelica Sunga, Danica Valenzuela, and I Kyla Fauni has baked over 250 meringues to sell for a bake sale. All the money was donated to an organization who helps families in Africa get a permanent resource of water.

Thankfully we had sold all the meringues and received $25.00. It is not a big sum of money but we hope it has helped.
