Mercado González Ortega
In the heart of the city of Zacatecas is located in the Mall "The market" since its inception in the century XVI, as the "Plaza of the parish", this site always intended to trade. However, as its name implies, this was a square and not an establishment by itself. Here, in 1593, August 30 the Cabildo agreement was signed which declared that September 8 will be proclaimed as the holiday of the city as well as it establishes that the feast is to be celebrated with games, tournaments and bullfights. This square was procured Sunday tianguis. That day, people from the vicinity and different social status met to purchase products ranging from meat and milk to beans and chilies. The positions where they were were distributed wherever possible but always around the source. In the center of greatest demand is in South a warehouse of clothing and hats. A bazaar.
