Project Performance

The new facility has two fully furnished classrooms and two new toilets. Students can now learn in a safe and secure environment. With dramatic increases in the safety and hygiene standards of the school, the incentive for students to go to school regularly will increase substantially. Over the next three years, CAD will measure promotion and dropout rates.

Thanks to the improved learning environment, we expect that the community will benefit tremendously. Children of the village will have the opportunity to lead self-determined lives and will be better prepared for secondary school and higher education.

Construction costs were in line with the initial budget proposed. Any risk of currency fluctuations and changes in building material prices managed by the contractor. We have not yet paid the 5% of the total amount as a guarantee, which will be held back for six months to ensure the overall quality.

The sustainability of the school is guaranteed through close cooperation and collaboration with the government which will provide teaching materials and pays all teachers on an ongoing basis. With a greater sense of ownership over the school building through their active participation in the planning and construction process, the community will ensure that the facilities are well maintained. Our local team (CAD) will carry out regular follow-up visits for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
