Background

Preak Trob Primary School is located in the Ek Phnom District of Battambang, Cambodia. There are 191 students currently attending this school. At this school, four concrete classrooms are safe for use. However, there were two unsafe classrooms made from wood that needed replacement. The school also required new toilets because to replace old, unsanitary toilets.

Some students at Preak Trob Primary School attend classes in the four safe and clean concrete buildings. The remaining students have been using the two poorly constructed wood classrooms. These classrooms leaked from the roof during the rainy season and were hot during the dry season. It was difficult for students to concentrate on their studies in this environment.

For these reasons, new toilets and a new building with two new classrooms have been built at Preak Trob Primary School. The students now have a positive learning space to meet their full potential and find joy in learning.
