Toughness  

According to the World Health Organization, (WHO) report that 1 in 3  women  have experienced sexual violence at  the hands of a partner or a stranger in their lifetime. Knowing that, women feel inferior to men due to their need to obtain power. When a man thinks that they can do whatever they please and have more authority compared to women, it leads to a very sexist mindset.  

At an early age, boys get the notion that they must be strong, have hardened emotions and be aggressive towards others. If they do not follow that criteria, they are considered less “manly.”

In their eyes, to be a man, one could never be skinny or passive. It forces those men who are

Toxic Masculinity  

 

 

In society, you can see the pressures and expectations men must  succumb  to  fit in. These “guidelines” given to boys and men destroy their own mental health and as a result, will negatively  affect  society

Toxic Masculinity

 

Known as “toxic masculinity,” guys are forced to bottle up their emotions and act tough in unnecessary scenarios. When referred to in pop culture, it is usually aggression, homophobia, and having domination over something (in most cases, women). Some may argue that men need to have strength and know how to support a family, but toxic masculinity describes the traditional and unhealthy ways men must follow along.
