Conference: Tourism, Education and Social Development in Cartagena
Last 29th September the bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management offered the conference: Tourism, Education and Cartagena Development that took place at Amaury Román Román auditory.
The guest was Luis Daniel Vargas, ex-governor of the departement of Bolívar, who explained the weaknesses of Tourism Development in Cartagena de Indias and Bolívar, despite all natural and cultural resources that the department has.
Mr. Vargas explained the importance of education for tourism service provision.
He added that it is necessary a work in sinergy among entrepreneurs, public sector, civil society and the academy. At the end, the students had a space to ask some questions.
This academic event finished at 11: 15 a.m. In total 100 students attended this conference.
