search for how to get rid of the curse. Catrine decided to trust Alfred and help break this curse. Alfred, hearing this, tried to smile, but he just looked creepy. Catrine didn’t mind his creepy face, and instead, her head was full of other thoughts.

As they were getting close to the palace, they noticed that a crowd of the cursed people were looking towards them. One man stepped forward, and Alfred got really excited seeing his good old friend. Alfred whispered to Caterine that this man with silvery white hair and red eyes wasn’t cursed. Catrine remembered seeing a man like him somewhere but forgot where. Then the man noticed Alfred’s companion. He looked happy and excited to see someone who wasn’t cursed as well. Then he introduced himself as Cassius and started asking her a lot of questions. Alfred understood that Catrine was feeling uneasy with all of these questions, stepped in between them and said:

“We have to go to the palace."

Cassius looked sad as he heard it, but decided not to distract them any more. Alfred and Catrine continued their walk to the palace. When they reached the palace, another obstacle appeared in front of them - a guard, disturbing them with dozens of questions. Eventually, Alfred was fed up with all this and told the guard to bring Theo. The guard left, and after a few minutes, he came back with a buff-looking being. As the being saw Alfred, he jumped towards him and gave him a hug.

It turned out that the strange creature called Theo was Alfred’s pet, who also served the king faithfully and devotedly. He felt intuitively that Catrine was going to help them remove the curse. Therefore, he came up to Catrine, sat beside her, and offered her his help and loyalty.

After that, all of them entered the palace. They headed to the throne room which seemed like it had been deserted long ago. The throne was in the middle of the room, and behind it, there was a tremendous dead tree whose branches were stretching high above the castle. There was a book on the throne, which Alfred pointed to and told Catrine that she could lift the curse once she opened the book and continued the story, but he also cautioned her that she had to remember her story to
