tuft of orange hair. His eyes were vivid blue and were situated quite near his nose. Without showing any specific emotion, the monster just stared at her. Catrine approached him step-by-step after pausing to be sure she could trust the unknowable for a moment. The creature extended his skeletal, long-fingered hand to the girl as she drew nearer. As the princess hesitantly clasped the creature's hand, she experienced an odd feeling and quickly became aware of a voice in her head. The voice whispered to her that he was Alfred and wanted to come to this maze again and again as to become friends.
Hearing something like that come from someone so tall and menacing was a shock to Catrine. As they stood in tranquility, choosing his words with care, Alfred decided to break the silence by stating that she did not need to worry. He started telling the Princess that he could take her to a beautiful yet majestic scenery. Catrine began to grow more wary yet curious. Catrine hesitantly shook her head, but in the end, she agreed. King Alfred and Princess Catrine walked without talking and headed out to the exit of the corn maze, as the wind had begun to blow from behind of them. As they walked silently, Catrine questioned herself why this newly met Alfred wanted to take her somewhere so shady, but she couldn’t bother asking out loud.
