When the family heard footsteps moving toward them and a squeaky sound on the door, they were ready to protect themselves. A dark figure entered through the door, and the man they had seen through the window appeared in the light of their room. Nate tossed his tennis ball towards the odd man with aggression, but he caught it. "Please, let me explain," the ghost-looking man started to talk. "I know that my appearance is frightening and my actions might have scared you, but I didn’t mean to cause any harm. That was never my intention."
