Once in a town called Glendale, there was a girl named Jesey. She lived in a big black house with her family. People said the family was from another world. Jesey and her brother Nate always came to school tired. It looked like they lived their normal lives at night and slept during the day. Their parents, Noah and July, were “ghost hunters“ as they called themselves, but anyone who heard that made fun of them or said it was not true. Jesey and Nate were twins, they had no friends, so they were each other's friends.
One day their parents realized that their kids needed to be more social and see the world around them. So they decided to surprise Jesey and Nate with a trip to Switzerland to see the Alps. This would be a perfect gift for their upcoming birthday.
“What thing would you like to take with you on vacation?” parents asked.
“I will take my notebook,” Jesey said. Jesey always had her notebook with her, but no one knew what was in it.
