carrying the box upstairs, he tripped and fell over something so hard that everything in the box shattered. Feeling a little scared at first, Harold slowly moved his foot to see what he had slipped on. To his great astonishment, it was the very missing part of the Rubik's cube! Once he placed it in the cube, it swiftly started to sparkle in his eyes. Harold was soon to grasp that by pressing any of the squares in the cube, it makes a note and plays a melody just like a musical instrument.

Without waiting for him to return, his parents arrived in the basement and found their son playing with a cup in his hands, the only unbroken piece of the expensive beverage service equipment smashed all around.

They grew so bitterly angry that they took the only unbroken cup and the Rubik`s cube from Harold. Mother had already noticed that the only thing her son had done since moving to a new house was playing with that old toy. This made Mom worry because Harold did not spend enough time learning and has not made any new friends so far. The broken things were an excuse for Mom to take the Rubik`s cube as a punishment, hoping that it would encourage Harold to spend more time with his classmates and maybe become friends with them faster.
