started running as fast as she could to the entrance, knowing that if they caught her, SHE’D. NEVER. MAKE. IT. OUT.

As she ran, she could barely see anything, but she ran and ran and ran until she finally saw the gate. As soon as she reached it, she looked back, and what she saw would haunt her for the rest of her life.

Feeling awful, betrayed, and tricked, she decided to pay one last visit to Karamus's cave. When she finally got there, she overheard Karamus and Vatu talking, so she hid as she listened in on their conversation.

"Are you sure we should leave Luke alone? asked Vatu.

"He's going to be fine, and we won't be gone for long, so nothing will happen in that tiny amount of time", said Karamus.

With that, they left. Lily waited for a moment until she knew it was safe, and went into the cave. In the dusk, she saw someone.

"Lucas, is that you?" the words barely left her mouth as her eyes started to water.

Lucas, hearing her cries, turned around and started screaming.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?!"

Lily, not knowing what to do with herself at this point because the brother she had been looking for for so long didn't even remember her, tried to explain that she was his twin sister and that Karamus kidnapped him when he was only 5 years old. But Lucas was having none of it. He thought she was lying and wanted her gone, so when she was coming closer to him and trying to hug him, he pushed her away and, in a fit of rage, attacked Lily. Lily, who at this point was terrified, ran out of the cave as far as her feet could take her, and not knowing someone had spotted her and had been chasing her, she decided to sit down to rest.

"How are you alive? You were supposed to die in the forest of secrets!" Karamus screamed from behind her.

"AAAHH!?!" Lily let out, scared after not knowing he was there. But after composing herself, she asked him, "What did you do to Lucas, and why didn’t he recognise me when he saw me?"
