rest. Lily fell asleep momentarily. The next morning, she realized that her hunger and thirst had disappeared. She didn’t understand what happened, but she moved on with her journey.
As she travelled, Lily started to see mysterious creatures - more mysterious than at home. After a bit of time, she arrived at a village called Urfaranat.
The people greeted her warmly and gave her food and water. Lily stayed here for a couple of days, in the meantime, she gathered some supplies, such as food, medicine, and water. She wanted to stay here for a little while, but she saw a figure looking like Karamus heading to the South. She understood that she had to go. Lily bid her final goodbyes and left.
The further the young witch went, the more she thought that Karamus’ brother, Vatu, was lying, but in the bottom of her heart, she still believed Vatu. She walked, she ran, she stopped to rest, and she repeated that so many times. Till one time a strange figure grabbed her and brought her to a cave while she slept. Lily woke up next to a bonfire, covered with a blanket and her head on a pillow, in a cave. She sat and saw an unknown person in front of her, Lily asked, "Who are you?". The unknown person calmly replied, "I’m the guardian of people that come here, I’m Tjusal.".
Lily calmed down as she learned about Tjusal more, and she asked him, "Where are we? Are we close to the forest of secrets?" Tjusal wondered, "We are in a safe cave. Why would you need to go to the forest of secrets? It’s dangerous there!" Lily shouted, "Karamus took my brother Lucas a long time ago! And his brother Vatu said that when I get to the forest of secrets, the fairies will lead me to Lucas." Tjusal was surprised, "How could you believe this? The fairies seem sweet before you step into the forest of secrets. But then they lead you to your death…"
"What? I don’t believe you! - screamed Lily. It can’t be true! Fairies are good," she said as uncertainty filled her eyes.
"Though I'm sorry to tell you this, not all fairies are good," said Tjusal, pausing for a second before continuing. And you, you are very gullible for believing a troll. Hasn't anyone ever taught you that trolls always try to deceive you and that you should never trust them? Not only believed you a troll but also Karamus‘s brother Vatu! You really thought he would let you see his brother's prey just because you wanted to see him?"
