Hello. I’m Ayşe Ceren. I study at the Child Development Department. I interviewed my teacher Münevver COŞKUN about the topics we want to learn about our field and job opportunities. It has been very useful for us.
First of all, I would like to ask you what is child development? Can you explain a little bit to us?
We can say that child development is a department that we have created to meet all the needs of children from the moment of birth to the age of 18, and to train competent education staff for children with special needs.
Who do you think should study in the child development department ?
In order to study the child development department section, first of all, there should be people who can understand children and love to spend time with them, and I can say that they should be as patient and compassionate as possible.
In which areas can we work after graduating from the child development department?
If you graduate from the child development department of high school, you can work as an assistant in private kindergartens in nurseries. If you get an associate degree for 2 years, you can still work as a kindergarten teacher in kindergarten and nursery school. If you have a 4-year undergraduate diploma, you can work as a child development education teacher in vocational technical anatolian high schools in girls vocational high schools, you can work in practice kindergartens, you can also teach child development education in kindergarten, nursery, special education and institutions.

Münevver Coşkun, I graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Child Development Education.This is my 10th year at this school and I have been teaching for 14 years.
