How did you choose your speciality?

As a child, my free time was filled with crafts, painting, and music. So the selection of my studies was made automatically.

What do you like most about your job?

In the profession I have chosen I really like the fact that I am never bored

and I am constantly discovering new things. It is a very creative profession and I like to be informed about all developments in the field of arts, either through my visits to museums of modern art or via the internet. Teaching the subject of applied arts is something that came later into my life.

What are your emotions while teaching?

Teaching what I love fills me and gives me a feeling of completeness. My daily interaction with children gives me joy and strength for creation.

Will this profession be worthwhile for the future of children?

Yes, I strongly believe in the professional prospects of this field since we live in the 21st century, the age of the image!

Thank you for your time Ms Drakoti! It was a pleasure my dear students!

Which school did you graduate?

I studied at the School of Art in the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the TEI of Athens. During the studies through a student exchange program (Erasmus studies) I attended classes at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca in Spain. After I returned to Greece, I continued my studies at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) where I received pedagogical and didactic certification. Finally, I completed my studies with my master's degree in the School of Applied Arts and Culture at the University of West Attica.
