IRELAND

Ireland has a really amazing and interesting history. It is an island that is divided into four provinces. An interesting but a sad fact is that before 1840s, Ireland’s population was over 8 million but now it is almost half of that. Also, their flag is very symbolic. It has the colors green, orange and white arranged in stripes. Green represents the southern part of the country, and orange represents the northern part; white represents their union. The Irish have a good luck symbol- the shamrock, while their national symbol is the Celtic Harp. There are many notable sites that should see in Ireland such as the Blarney stone, where according to the legend, if you kiss the stone you get the power of eloquent speech. Saint Patrick’s Day is a very important day in Ireland. Saint Patrick, who is celebrated all over the world, is held on March 17th. He is the patron Saint of Ireland but he was born in England.
And for the end, I will give you some advice: If you are about to take part in a parade on Saint Patrick’s Day you should definitely wear something green.
