I wish i had known that...

You never know what's going to happen next. As they say, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. Everything happens for a reason. Even if I know that, I still don't understand it completely. We just have to accept the fact that there are things we can't change no matter what.
A couple of years ago, my parents started business of driving children to certain places. My mother and I went to Belgrade because she had to drive a volleyball girl team to some competition. While we were on our way back, a woman in front of us was slowly driving her motorcycle with a child on it. Suddenly, the woman stopped for a moment and turned her motorcycle on our track. Mom got confused and hit her with one side of the van. She had been trying to stop but with no success. When she realized what was going on, she got out of the vehicle to help the woman get up. I started crying because I was afraid of what would happen to my mom. I saw that the woman was yelling and my mom was obviously upset. The moment my mom returned to take her phone, the police came. One of the girls calmed me down and I was now scared of what was going to happen. I saw my mom arguing with the police officers, but I didn't know why. The woman told the officers that we had hit her on purpose. I couldn't believe my ears. She was trying to earn of this situation. My mother wasn't guilty at all, but she couldn't prove her innocence. Then, one of the officers noticed the traces of braking that matched the tires of the motorcycle. Fortunately, he showed the other officer what had really happened and my mom didn't have to pay anything because the woman who was driving the motorcycle had made a mistake when turning left with no signalization.
Those scenes are etched in my memory and every time my mom steps on the brake abruptly, or someone comes close to our vehicle I think of that unpleasant event. What I learned of that situation is that some people always try to use some situation to get the best for them and to blame someone else if something bad happens. I'd love I would have then known that there are people like that and there always will be, no matter what.
