In Greek, Holocaust means “sacrifice by fire." This means the Nazis in a way were sacrificing the Jews for what-- happiness, purity, or superiority? Out of all these reasons, only two are right-- purity and superiority. These felons scoured their country of men, women, and children just so they could be cleansed of the so called “schwein” that populated a majority of their country and Europe. The world closed its eyes and turned its back and allowed the Nazis to use their Einsatzgruppen (mobile killing units) to wipe out the men, women, and children easily. In the end, the allies liberated a majority of the prisoners and put them in DP camps where they were to find a place to live in the world or find their scattered family.

Now, lets advance a few years, to the years of segregation. Things did not change a bit except the fact that people were not shoved into death camps to be worked

like mules and then killed. The dead Jewish men and women would mourn for our generation, because their example of pain and torture was ignored. The reason things have not changed is because in unity there will always be division and the stake causing the division is racial supremacy. Racial supremacy is when a certain race believes it is above and better than another race. During the Holocaust, it was Germans vs. Jews, Gypsies, and disabled people. During the years of segregation, it was the white men and women vs. black men and women. Caucasian men and women thought they were above African Americans; therefore, causing the African Americans to be separated and segregated from the whites. Jews who were killed would be ashamed by how the world was during these years of segregation. Their suffering meant nothing to the men and women of this time period.
