Many stars are in the sky
As many Jews went to die.
Taken to camps of death and torture;
Their minds were stripped of love.
Under death’s dark glare,
God looked from heaven and held them there.
Depression held them low and hard,
They lost faith of their righteous God.
Every day the Kaddish was repeated
To soothe their broken hearts.
But in their deepest darkest times,
Liberation was on the rise.
The Russians coming from the west,
To put their trouble lives to rest.
Not to take away their fading breath
But to save them from terrible death.
And as they rebuilt their lives again,
A country rose from the ashes to reign.
To regain honor among the living--
And put the Nazis plan to shame.
