Sambacus nigra
Black elderberry (Sambacus nigra) is a deciduous tree in winter that can reach 0-4 meters tall. It has flowers in the form of small umbrellas of white color. When the fruits of black elderberry ripen, they form dark purple/black clusters.
Its fruits have a sour taste. Black elderberry, whose homeland is Europe, Asia and North Africa, is frequently encountered in Turkey, especially in the Black Sea, Western and Northern Anatolia.................................................

Where it grows in Turkey: It is grown in West and Southwest Anatolia. A one meter tall, oil-producing annual herbaceous plant. It grows mainly in India, China and Sudan. The lower leaves of the plant are opposite and lobed, the upper leaves are whole and lanceolate. The flowers are white or pink, and they are gathered in clusters in the axils of the leaves. Its fruit is a 2-3 cm long, elongated, prismatic capsule with a large number of seeds.
Marrubium vulgare
It is a wild type of prairie plant, which is known by various names such as gray grass, dog grass, dog grass, dog fly, black derme, yeast grass. It grows spontaneously on roadsides and in fields. The leaves of this plant, whose flowers are white, are slightly hairy. It is fragrant and highly aromatic. It is a close relative of the Ballıbaba plant. Its appearance is similar.
Generally, the flower, branch and leaf parts of the plant are used for healing purposes. Roots are not used.
