Michel Chikwanine is a former child soldier. At the age of 5 he was abducted to be a child soldier, and was forced to endure all the things they did to him. His wrist was cut and a mixture of gunpowder and cocaine was rubbed on. He was blindfolded and was given a Ak-47 gun and was forced to shoot. After he fired the gun his blindfold was taken off and on the ground covered in blood was his best friend. At the age of 10 he was forced to witness . the rape of his own mother and two older sisters. He and his family was able to escape and moved to ottawa.
