I therefore saw parading in my mind all those First Communion bride-girls, pin-up baby girls and mini–Miss Universe who made so many parents so proud of them. 

Of course, those were funny pictures by themselves already but I still thought I could modify them making them somehow worse i.e., more hilarious! 

The weight of my own gay parenting responsibilities pushed me more and more to find a way to transform myself, at least virtually, into a surreal, amusing, funny, carefree little girl.  

I then got the idea of using photomontage techniques to add my face on those pictures, yes, my face, the very one I have now! I started taking a million selfies and I looked for many pictures of little girls on to whom I would have replaced my face. Since the very beginning I realized how funny and surprising it was to see myself as a child again, all dressed up and posing for the greatest photographers in the world!
