RC: Where would you like to promote Homosurrealism in 2021?
JS: I'd love to do a show in San Francisco, the gay mecca. I think we have some opportunities in Europe. For some reason, I have been thinking about Athens lately. I have included some of my Athens friends in this issue.
RC: What is the interest in Klonopin.
JS: Klonopin was almost my downfall. I was on it for several years. Rick, you saw me at the L.A. shows, and I was irritable and aloof. Not a good look for anybody. A couple of months ago I decided to grow up and quit all drugs. It is selfish of me to be unprofessional in any way. Kids, don't do drugs.
RC: What is your interest in Bobby Beausoleil?
JS: He is a pivotal figure in a world event. I am curious about his art and commentary. In fact if I take Homosurrealism to San Francisco, he will probably play some kind of role. Also, I believe that the gay community does not need any negativity and I am not pro violence. I am about expressing love and including work by Beusoleil in some of our events is often misunderstood.
