1. Balls

Balls were made for kids. They can help practice for sports, they can be kicked, thrown, lobbed, chewed on (by infants, most ideally) and are easy to clean up for any age. Balls are not just for boys or for girls, and they come in every color and size.

2. Toy animals

Not only can they help in teaching animal sounds and names to smaller children, they are great for free and open play. Kids may want to build a zoo, a pet shop or a farm. They may allow the animals to speak, or have them interact with other toys. No matter what, they can be played with — and were made to be played with — by kids of all ages, and genders.

3. Chalk, paints, crayons

Coloring is something not only made for kids, but for all people (there are more and more adult coloring books popping up!). Whether a child wants a princess or a animal coloring book doesn't matter, they are made for all. There are endless art supplies for kids who want to create on paper, canvas and even cement outside. Coloring, free drawing and art creations can inspire real free thinking and imagination for all kids and small children.

4. Building toys & blocks

Building toys and blocks may be one of the best ways to inspire free play and imagination among children. If they are able to use whatever materials they want to build whatever they want, their imaginations can only expand. Allowing free play allows for better development and attention span, and will help children in school and in playing with others.
