Quinta Do Lago North
In case one designer wasn ’ t enough , the Quinta do Lago North Course has the boasting rights of requiring two architects . The first was William Mitchell ( who designed the South Course ) who was responsible for 1 to 5 and 15 to 18 in 1974 . The other holes were designed by Joseph Lee , which opened in 1989 . The terrain was to inspire many future designs . The umbrella pine trees crop up to catch the errant golf ball , while the creeping bent grass fairways are typical to Mediterranean courses . Regular players here are convinced that a person who draws the ball will succeed best , given the anti-clockwise arrangement of the holes .
