Compulsory Education – Primary, Secondary and Special Education Schools in the OECS
The compulsory education institutions in the seven OECS Member States totaled 462 which included primary, secondary and special education schools. The distribution of education institutions by school level is presented below.
In the case of non-compulsory education, that includes post secondary education (tertiary and non-tertiary education), a total of 9 institutions were recorded. Disaggregated by type, public institutions accounted for 78 percent while private institutions accounted for 22 percent.
