Dr. Natalie Koons, DO, a UNE COM '23 and CA-1
resident, has been elected to serve as President-Elect of
the ASA Resident Component Governing Council for the
2024-2026 term. This honor highlights Dr. Koons'
commitment to the field of anesthesiology and
underscores the important role that residents like her
play in shaping the future of the profession.
Dr. Koons recently published her research on postpartum
hemorrhage during Cesarean Delivery in the National

Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) has announced its recipients for the 2024 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers of the Year Awards, which recognizes health care professionals who demonstrate excellence in clinical care, patient advocacy, and community leadership.
Dr. Steven Runyan, DO, UNE COM '03is a recipient of the 2024 RRMC Physician of the Year.
Northern Light Home Care and Hospice, a member of the Northern Light Health, promoted Anthony Pastore, DO, UNE COM '18 to senior physician excecutive and vice president.
Dr. Pastore will oversee clinical programs and provide
medical care to patients in addition to his administrative duties.
Dr. Pastore is a UNE COM alumni and current member of the American Geriatics Society, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Family Medincine Education Consortium.
