Enjoyment Spreads to SLAS Members

On the 20th of September 2014, Livingston American School invited students, parents and sponsors to the Back 2 School Bash, an event that offered enrichment to the community. Visitors enjoyed the time during the bash by viewing the shows and participating in activities.

“Specifically, the students and teachers bands were most entertaining.” Mr. Rodel Orias said during the event. On the stage of the field, musical bands and such entertainments as exercise games were being presented. Most visitors and members focused around the stage and amused themselves through these shows.

Along with the show, service from commercial vendors made honorable profits. Tents for snacks, drinks and deserts were built.

“My son was really excited to eat a lot of snacks at the bash,” kindergartener’s parent Kana Mitani said. Also, delicious food dishes were served form sponsoring restaurant Blue Frog and Mexican Lindo.

By preparing multiple activities, vendors and fun, the school started off a new academic year with a positive impression.

SLAS has its first Back to School Bash

On September 20th Livingston American School had its first Back to School Bash event at their Shanghai campus. Many visitors, school administrators, students, staff and venders came to the event and had a good and memorable time.

A student named Gi Woong said “I think this event is ok and can be better.” According to Gi Woong, the good thing about this event is that he liked that there were many different countries food to eat. Gi Woong also said that if there is another event like this at SLAS, he would like to come again.

Many community members came to the event. Visitors from the local community also came. Parents also came to support the event. Also local vendors came to sell food from such places as Mexico Lindo and Blue Frog. Their foods were very popular with long lines of people waiting to buy the delicious foods.

Another was visitor, Mr. Choi. He is the parent of Jin Hyuk Choi. He said "This event was enjoyable and fun. The best thing about this concert was the performance by teachers, it was funny.” Mr. Choi said that if there is another event like this, he will return because he is a supportive parent of SLAS activities and he like joining some festivals.

The first ever Back 2 School Bash at SLAS was a successful event. All the visitors, students, administrators, and staff said they really had a fun time. Many of the people who went to the event said that they would like to return to other SLAS festivals in the future.
