Ignoring how out of breath I was, I stumbled to the main desk requesting a visit for my mother. Before I could even be given an answer, I ran through the connecting antechamber which separated the waiting room and patient rooms, dashing to room 104 as I had remembered it by heart.

My wish was for my mother to be healthy and happy -- and as I opened the door, I was greeted by a doctor and nurse alike surrounding my mother’s bed. They looked at me with faces of shock before parting away revealing my very mother, standing up straight, healthy as a horse. Our eyes locked onto one another as mine widened. It began raining like it had many
