Suddenly, I found myself standing at the doorstep of my house, trying to fish out a key from my pocket. However, my cold and wobbly fingers could not grasp it no matter how hard I tried. Finally, I managed to open the door. A queer feeling of serenity flooded me. And somehow, I was too afraid to move – the gap between me and the doorstep transformed into an abyss.

In an instant, the abyss vanished, and a letter which was not signed by anybody caught my eye. A letter from a stranger.

I leaned over to pick it up and after a brief struggle, I finally got a grasp on the situation and took a closer look at the letter. I was still soaked to the skin and stiff because of the bleak mid-autumn’s weather. Suddenly I felt a shiver down my spine.
