“This house is beautiful!” exclaimed my mother, joy was sparkling in her eyes as she was wandering around the house, looking at the interior of it. The arc doorways, dark oak floors and marble countertops really made her happy, she was delighted with our new home. Dad didn’t seem too impressed by it. “It’s just a house,” he claimed. I didn’t think much of it either. Anyway, it’s just some house in the middle of nowhere, with none of my old friends around and no city life. 

           I left my stuff in my room and went outside for a walk. The backyard was huge! There was a big garden full of flowers and autumn trees, the colors were charming, but the weather was awful! Just how I like it: the calming rain splashing onto its own puddles, dark rain clouds moving menacingly across the sky and the cat staring at me through the window of our house. “Wait, a cat?” I exclaimed. The presence of this cat caught me off guard, “What is the cat doing in the house? I suppose it must be a stray. I should probably go and find it,” I said as I was making my way back home so that the rain didn’t soak me completely.

This house was so big that I kept going in circles, but could not I find that stupid cat! Whose is it? Where did it come from? Any former owners? I had so many questions whilst trying to find that cat. As I was looking for the pet, I heard a loud sound coming from the top of the house. “That must have come from the attic,”
