on a grave with the same name they had seen before. When both boys saw the grave, they looked at each other with wide eyes, as they were both right about the old man. He is dead! They saw a ghost in the old house. Mark started panicking.
“We need to get back there and look around in the house,” Jim said when both boys were walking out of the cemetery.
“I think it is a good idea. He may be still looking for his daughter. What if we could help and get them back to each other?” offered Mark as he wanted to put everything to the end.
“Maybe that's why we got locked?!” said Jim, not so happy about being in the nasty and dark cell.
“Let's go back and look!” Mark pushed his friend a bit to the front to move him faster.
The boys reached the house as the sun was going down. The house has never looked so scary as now. Both of the boys took a deep breath in and stepped over the doorsill.
When the boys stepped into the house, they got hit with a cold gust of wind and an uneasy feeling filled their stomachs. Pulling out their flashlights the boys hesitantly ventured deeper into the house. They walked carefully checking every corner because they did not want to run into the ghost of the old man.
Eventually, the two boys found the stairs. As they were making their way up one of the stairs made a loud creaking noise, which caused both of the boys to freeze in their spots. Holding their breaths the boys listened to any noise that could signal they had caught the old man’s attention. Nothing
