Druids Glen closes in 2022 , for major renovations by Peter McEvoy . The work will secure the Glen ’ s reputation as one of Ireland ’ s best parklands . In terms of colour , rhythm , variety and sheer intrigue there is no Irish course that compares . This is thrilling golf from start to finish , flowing over mature parkland , and the club possesses the best set of par threes on the island ( alongside Tralee ), with 8 and 12 tucked away in enchanting settings . It is by no means easy – much of the back nine is laced with water – but you ’ ll face so many thrilling shots it won ’ t matter one bit . Good luck on the 13th – revered and feared in equal measure .
