Rahul Gandhi has given quite a surprising and a big statement on Corona. The Past President of Congress says, because of Lock down and because of Corona unnecessarily the fear has increased. According to Rahul, for 99 % of people have nothing to fear from Corona. And the Government has to reveal this fact to people. Rahul also said, the scare has been intensified to such an extent, that even after the lock down being opened up, people will not move out.
This big statement has come out from Rahul Gandhi's press conference. Rahul Gandhi however has made a demand from the Government that, financial package has to be given out poor people, but the surprising fact that has come out is that, Rahul Gandhi is saying because of lock down, fear that is, which is unnecessary, has got increased.
" See in the lock down we have not only changed psychology of India but of the whole world. Before lock down, Covid was not a deadly disease. After lock down, Covid became a deadly disease in the minds of the people. This actually is a wrong impression. Covid is a deadly disease, but only for 1 % of people. It however is our responsibility that we give full protection to that 1 %. Not even one in that should be allowed to fall sick. But this also becomes our responsibility that , the people in the country should be informed and explained, that for 99 % of people it is not a fatal disease. The prime minister has to take this up very aggressively and all of us have to do it aggressively. Because today in India and the rest of the world there is an atmosphere of fear. In case if you want to remove the lock down the atmosphere of fear has to be necessarily removed. Otherwise no one is going to come out. Therefore I want to give this message even to the people of the media, that you people also have to disclose this reality. That for 99 % of the Indians, this is not a dangerous disease. As much as you less sensationalize it, as much as you show its reality, India will be benefited to that extent. Reality is very clear. Disease is dangerous for 1 to 2 % of people. For 99 % of people, it is not a dangerous disease. And the kind of atmosphere that is of fear, we have to come out of it. And the earlier we come out of it, we will be able to return back to normality. "
