April - Earth Month
Mr. Shrewsbury and the Student Eco-Committee championed Earth month. During the entry point, students started by reflecting on the guiding questions,
What were your Earth Pledges? How did you help Earth this month? How will you continue helping the Earth?
Classes then created month-long Earth pledges, which were revisited throughout the month. Below are some of the ways students tried to help the Earth this month.
Week two was a community-building focused session where each class worked together to plant some local seeds. The month ended with an eco-art project, where students creatively learned about upcycling by creating bottle cap art.
