Ellie Nias
I will be joining VIS in august to teach Drama! I will be traveling over at the end of July in the car all the way from Germany! I am very excited to start this new adventure and meet the VIS team. I love traveling and this should be a fun journey for me to travel through Europe to get to you in Malta. I love swimming in the sea, playing ukulele and am always humming a tune. looking forward to living near the sea as I grew up not far from the sea in England.
documentaries, as well as baking and cooking. For me, teaching and learning languages is fascinating as I love exploring the similarities and differences between them. I am excited to move to Malta and to get to know more about its history and culture. I look forward to meeting everyone soon!

I am excited to join the Verdala family this August as a Grade 5 teacher. I am originally from Southern California, but have spent the last 16 years living abroad. I have had the pleasure of working and living in Japan, Korea, Italy, and for the past 6 years Singapore. I enjoy reading, swimming, live theater and music, and exploring new places. I look forward to exploring beautiful islands of Malta and meeting the VIS community.

I am originally from Austin, Texas, USA. For the past two years I have been a year 5 teacher at an IB, bilingual school in Milan, Italy. Prior to living in Italy I lived in Beijing, China for four years and taught at an international Montessori school. In my free time I enjoy running, hiking, dancing, reading, and traveling. I spent a couple weeks in Malta last summer and absolutely loved it. I’m looking forward to living by the sea and joining VIS as a grade 4 teacher!
