Greenhills Centre
At left is the cover of Max Hill’s 2006 book
about Greenhills which tells the story of
how his dream became the reality that,
today, is the Greenhills Centre.
On 28 March 2015 the 50th anniversary of
Greenhills was celebrated with a worship
service, lunch and a walk down memory
lane in the Max and Zeta Hill Building. 98
year old Max was there and made an
excellent short speech.
During the service, presided over by Rev
Alistair Christie, the Moderator, Rev Myung
Hwa Park preached and the Past President,
Rev Gregor Henderson spoke about the
place of Greenhills in the life of our church
and the community.
Alistair Christie identified who was present and why, as well as
identifying some people no longer alive who were significant in the
past life of Greenhills. The latter included Norma Heath and
Eathorne Hanlin, remembered by many from St Margaret’s.
Amongst the
memorabilia on
display was this
promotional
material for the
1965 Easter camp
at which our Don
Erickson was
surprised to learn
he had been the
chief speaker.
