the lives of women and
girls. And since her cancer,
Ivonne is also a facilitator of
a non-profit support group,
hosted by Circle of Hope,
for Cancer patients and
survivors.

Ivonne said, “My life has
been changed forever.
Going through cancer is a
life changing experience.
I love doing the work that
I do and can’t imagine ever doing
anything else. I am proof positive in
the power of positive thinking.”

and proposed marriage to her. She
said yes and they married not long
thereafter in Lima.
It took awhile, but in November of
1994 Ivonne arrived in America,
Los Angeles to be precise. She had
neither friends nor family of her
own, but his family was great to her.
In 1996 her son, Ryan, was born and
in 1997 the family moved to Santa
Clarita. Her daughter, Tami, was born
a few years later.
Ivonne worked in marketing and
international sales for several
companies while raising her kids.
Somehow, she and her husband
drifted apart and separated in 2010.
She continued to work, but her jobs
were not completely satisfying to her
so she continued to study, this time
hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic
programming. And then it hit her. She
had found her passion. She decided to
start a private practice to help people
who struggled with conditions such
as anxiety, depression, addictions,
phobias and fears, lack of self esteem,
chronic pain, traumas, etc.

Just when the stars began to shine
brightly on her career, Ivonne
was confronted with the biggest
challenge of her life: breast cancer.
Ivonne said, “At first
I cried. Then I decide
to fight back. I forced
myself to stay positive.
I even opened my first
office before I had
my cancer surgery. I
became more spiritual
and focused on God’s
messages instead of
on, why me? I used a
lot of natural healing
tools to go along with
my breast surgery. And
I believe it helped a
great deal.”
Now cancer free,
Ivonne is devoted to
helping others. Since
2010 she has been a
member of Soroptimist
International of Santa
Clarita Valley, a non-
