‘ I am thankful to Fife College for helping me achieve goals that I never thought I ’ d be able to achieve .’

Lisa McDonald
HND in Events Management
I went back to college at the age of 40 to get back into work in an area that would help me as I have mobility issues . I started doing Office Administration Level 5 , which included an interesting unit on events and that set me on a new path to completing an HND in Events Management .
I then got my first job in 16 years as an Operational Assistant at Fife Centre for Equalities . The skills and confidence that Fife College gave me have helped me immensely . Before , I felt that my health issues would have hindered me in events but I was shown ways to make it work for me and was also able to confront my fears at the same time .
I am also grateful to the lecturers , who pushed me to achieve what I did and to the Students ’ Association who helped me see that working within the third sector could be for me .
