As a student on this course , you will not only participate in varied and exciting practical workshops focusing on movement , voice , and acting , you will also collaborate with others to create dynamic productions to showcase these skills . In addition , you will learn how to evaluate , analyse , and further develop your skills whilst building a portfolio of your performance work to support you in entering work in the performance industry .

Two Highers , one of which should be Drama and / or English , at a Grade A , B , or C pass Relevant experience National Certificate : Acting and Theatre Performance SCQF Level 6 including the Higher Drama exam at a Grade A , B , or C pass A relevant National Progression Award ( NPA ) or Baccalaureate
HND year 1 Acting and Performance ( 15 SQA credits )

This demanding practical course has been designed to equip you with practical skills , training and development in voice , singing and music theory , movement and dance practice as well as acting techniques . Working with experienced lecturers and industry practitioners , you will develop the skills and techniques required for a career in musical theatre and performing arts .

External Candidates
One of the following :
PLUS
Two Highers at Grade C or above including Drama and / or English
National Certificate : Acting and Theatre Performance SCQF Level 6
Another related / relevant course at SCQF Level 6
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
Successful audition
You will be required to take part in a workshop and present a musical theatre practical portfolio consisting of :
A monologue ( between 1.5-3 minutes )
A prepared song ( 2-3 minutes )
A prepared movement / dance sequence ( 1 to 2 minutes )
Please bring sheet music / accompaniment with you to audition
Internal Candidates
One of the following :
National Certificate : Acting and Theatre Performance SCQF Level 6 and a successful audition
Another related / relevant course at SCQF Level 6 and a successful audition

This practical , hands-on course offers the opportunity to continue your studies in technical theatre in all production areas , and to work as a first deputy in first year , and then as a head of department in stage management , lighting and sound , scenic art , and construction in second year on public performances in the College ’ s purposebuilt theatre as well as other Fife theatre venues .

Two Highers at Grade C or above , including English or Drama plus three National 5s at Grade C or above , preferably with English and Maths
National Certificate : Technical Theatre SCQF Level 6
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
You may be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process . This group / individual conversation may be an information session , a portfolio discussion , or a skills based exercise ( please bring relevant production paperwork )
Year 2
Successful completion of Year 1 HNC : Technical Theatre and Production Arts SCQF Level 7
