Stephen Watson
HND : Fashion Design and Production with Retail
After I left school , I decided that university wasn ’ t for me but then I discovered that Fife College delivered the course I was looking for and decided that was for me .
I really enjoyed the unit we studied which was called Fashion Commercial and Design , when we designed a collection for a middle market retailer in the UK .
When I first started , I didn ’ t know much about Fashion Design , and I didn ’ t know how to sew and I didn ’ t know how to do pattern cutting . But now I am going to a fashion design school and I ’ m going to be doing all of the things Fife College taught me .
I hope to complete my fashion degree at Heriot-Watt University and then move to Europe and work for a high-end fashion designer .

“ I would recommend this course to anyone who is unsure about this industry . It is a really good steppingstone to university - I didn ’ t have to fully commit to doing a university course , I could stay local and do my second year of university at Fife College .”
