COMMUNITY Friends of the Senior School (FOSS) Lisa Derrick, Ruth Warden and Clayton Massey Welcome to the start of 2014 and to our new committee members, Lisa Derrick, Jo Stone and Corol Campbell, and a very heartfelt thank you to those of you who are continuing on for another year. Any parent of a boy in the Senior School is welcome to come along to the FOSS meetings and see what we are about. Our role is to support the Senior School boys, staff and parents in a variety of ways through catering, service to the School and liaising with parents. Jennifer Handz is the FOSS LP Co-ordinator for 2014. Jennifer has been hard at work and has ensured there are Liaison Parents in each year group and House. Many of the Liaison Parents have already hosted morning teas or year group get togethers, and supported the FOSS team by helping out at the Senior School Athletics Day. Details of events are advertised in the weekly Bulletin in the Senior School News and/or Your School Community sections. P & F Sports representative, Dean Porter, has finalised the framework for the Sports role. • A sub-committee has worked in consultation with subcommittee Presidents to develop an Operational Procedures Manual. This document combines the Society’s Constitution and the guiding principles of the One School One Community strategy. • As President I have undertaken a legal review of the Society’s Constitution last reviewed in 2007, as well as establishing a new Alcohol Policy ratified by the Management Committee in March.
