Architectural technologists lead the technological development of a project , forming the link between concept , innovation , and realisation . They play a pivotal role in project and design management , provide architectural design services , negotiate construction projects , and manage the development of projects from conception to completion .
Professional membership After gaining your HNC / D in architectural technology , you ’ ll be entitled to register as an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists ( CIAT ) where the pathway exists for you to pursue Technician status ( TCIAT ) or Chartered status ( MCIAT ) with the Institute .
