Finally I’ve started a podcast! YAY I hear you scream . . . joking aside I’m really happy to have a podcast related to modular out there and happening. I’ve had ideas for around a year of different ways to go about a modular podcast. The idea came together with Matthew Shaw and Greg Gibbons both of which form the core trio for the show alongside me. So it’s “us” and not “me”, which is good for you all because there’s only so much Bradfordian / Yorkshire accent I think anyone can take. The show is a monthly hour long (we’re not too precious about going over) video chat based on different topics, techniques and news regarding modular synths. It’s niche and specifically about modular. While the three of us love lots of other gear there’s no place for that in the show as we wanted to create something really focused. It’s conversational and casual and based on the love for conversations about all things modular that arise over phone calls we have or at synth meets. I’ll often stand and just listen to others talk at meets as everyone has a different experience and take on things. The first show is a round up of the things that stood out for us from this year’s NAMM, while future shows will be about certain techniques, ideas and also feature guests alongside us.
